Symptoms

If you apply a default speed setting of 1G, then disable an interface for 10G/1G SFP media ports, this can lead to link flapping side effects with certain peer switches (such as Cisco).

Impact

Link flapping observed on interfaces being disabled.

Conditions

Link flapping was observed with certain (Cisco) peer switches at about the time of disabling the relevant ports.

Workaround

None

Fix Information

The removal of a default speed setting prior to disabling an interface, when disabling a secondary blade, no longer causes 1G link flapping between B2100 blades and peer (Cisco) switches.
