Symptoms

When user configures Trunks on interfaces and LACP is either not configured, or is configured as passive mode for that trunk, no LACP packets would go through and TMM drops all LACP packets upon reboot.

Impact

Trunks stays down after reboot.

Conditions

1. BIG-IP 2000-/4000-series appliance. 2. Interfaces are configured as trunk. 3. LACP either not configured, or configured as passive mode for that trunk.

Workaround

One of: - Restart LACP - Enable LACP on the trunk and configure LACP as Active - Reconfigure LACP Passive to Active

Fix Information

Trunks now work upon reboot if not configured with LACP Active on BIG-IP 2000-/4000-series appliances.
