Bug ID 434907: A re-invite in a hairpin call may result in incorrect SNAT IPs on a media flow

Last Modified: Jul 12, 2023

Affected Product(s):
BIG-IP TMOS(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
11.4.0, 11.4.1

Fixed In:
11.5.0, 11.4.1 HF2

Opened: Oct 22, 2013

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

Media flows not properly set up in Re-invite.

Impact

No video/audio can be passed during the specified condition.

Conditions

Using TCP, set up a hairpin call. Do a re-invite from the client that did not initiate the call, and it will be noticed that the media flows are not set up with the proper SNAT IP (they seem to be reversed). If the re-invite is initiated from the same client, the problem does not exist.

Workaround

None.

Fix Information

Call from clientA is hairpinned by the BIG-IP system, a reinvite is sent from clientB, the media flows are properly set up.
