Symptoms

Install of partial EPSEC file causes mcpd to crash, followed by multiple cores.

Impact

mcpd crashes, followed by multiple cores.

Conditions

-- Attempt to upload a current EPSEC file. -- Upload stalls and appears hung. -- Close the web browser used for uploading epsec. -- Attempt to install the partially uploaded file.

Workaround

Upload the EPSEC file completely, and try the installation again.

Fix Information

BIG-IP now correctly handles incomplete or failed uploads of EPSEC software updates via the web admin GUI.
