Symptoms

If upgrading from a configuration where a self IP has a name that resembles an IP address (example: '1.2.3.4'), and the self IP's address field is the same address but with a route domain (example: '1.2.3.4%5'), then validation will fail with an error of this form: 0107162c:3: Name (/Common/1.2.3.4) encodes address (1.2.3.4) which does not match address (1.2.3.4%5)

Impact

Upgrade will fail.

Conditions

There exists an IP address with the described condition.

Workaround

None. You will need to edit the configuration files to replace this self IP with another one with a name containing the route domain (or a name that does not resemble the IP address at all).

Fix Information

Upgrading from a configuration where a self IP has a name that resembles an IP address (example: '1.2.3.4'), and the self IP's address field is the same address but with a route domain (example: '1.2.3.4%5') now passes validation.
