Symptoms

If an HTML page is loaded using HTTPS and contains a script that uses the document.write() call to change a closed document, Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) suppresses this operation even in emulation mode. As a result, any such page cannot work correctly in portal access mode.

Impact

Portal access does not work.

Conditions

Access portal used by IE11 clients.

Workaround

No workaround known yet. There are no IE settings to prevent this error.

Fix Information

An HTML page that is loaded using HTTPS and contains a script that uses the document.write() call to change a closed document now works correctly on Internet Explorer 11 in portal access mode.
