Symptoms

The command 'tmsh run sys crypto check-cert' is not reliable for checking validity of certificate bundles.

Impact

Cannot determine whether certificates have expired using this utility.

Conditions

This occurs when using the command 'tmsh run sys crypto check-cert'.

Workaround

You can use either of the following workarounds: -- Use the GUI to select the certificate from the bundle and view its expiration date. -- Force the mcpd process to reload the BIG-IP configuration (K13030: Forcing the mcpd process to reload the BIG-IP configuration :: https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K13030). After reboot, the symptoms are cleared.

Fix Information

The command 'tmsh run sys crypto check-cert' now correctly reports the validity of certificate bundles.
