On platforms using AOM, if the Mgmt interface is disabled via tmsh, rebooting/resetting the AOM module causes the Mgmt interface to become re-enabled. On BIG-IP v10.x, rebooting BIG-IP also causes a disabled Mgmt interface to become re-enabled.
A Mgmt interface that has been disabled via tmsh will become re-enabled when one of the indicated actions occurs.
This problem occurs on BIG-IP 1600, 3600, 3900, 6900, 8900, 8950, 11000 and 11050 platforms. When running BIG-IP v11.x, a disabled Mgmt interface may be re-enabled by resetting the AOM module. When running BIG-IP v10.x, a disabled Mgmt interface may be re-enabled by resetting the AOM module or by rebooting BIG-IP.
After resetting the AOM module or rebooting BIG-IP, use the tmsh utility to re-enable and disable the mgmt interface: tmsh mod net interface mgmt enabled tmsh mod net interface mgmt disabled tmsh save sys config
