If sync is disabled on a GTM in a device group, all GTMs in that sync group will disable sync.
Unintended disabling of sync functionality.
All; as long as you follow the scenario described in the Symptom
If a user wishes to remove a GTM from a sync group, change the sync group name on the GTM in question. Then disable sync. To re-add the GTM to the sync group either: 1. run gtm_add script on the GTM in question. gtm_add <other GTM> NOTE: This will cause the config on the GTM in question to be overwritten with the config of <other GTM> or 2. Enable sync on the gtm. Then change the sync name to match the sync group. NOTE: This will cause the config on the GTM to be pushed to *ALL* other GTMs in the sync group because the GTM in question will have the latest timestamp.
Disabling Synchronize on one GTM no longer disables Sync on all GTMs in the sync group.
