Last Modified: Nov 22, 2021

Affected Product(s):
BIG-IP CGN(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
11.4.0, 11.4.1, 11.5.0

Fixed In:
11.6.0, 11.5.1, 11.5.0 HF1, 11.4.1 HF4

Opened: Jan 27, 2014

Severity: 2-Critical

Symptoms

Deterministic NAT state from multiple TMMs can be interleaved in LTM log, making dnatutil unable to use the state information for reverse mapping.

Impact

Reverse mapping using interleaved deterministic NAT state log entries in the LTM log could be incorrect.

Conditions

Configuration change to LSN Pool with deterministic NAT mode while BIGIP is serving connections.

Workaround

Capture and fix interleaved log entries for deterministic NAT, and use the fixed log entries for reverse mapping.

Fix Information

Deterministic NAT state information will be logged from one TMM when configuration changes.

Behavior Change

deterministic NAT configuration state information will now be logged once per change in configuration.
