Symptoms

In certain cases, the mcpd service can crash during configuration synchronization. An object was getting deleted while still being processed.

Impact

A BIG-IP system that was active will go to standby when MCPD crashes.

Conditions

This can occur after an upgrade.

Workaround

Sometimes initiating the sync from a local (e.g. root or admin) user can work around this issue, but this has not been shown to be true in every case.

Fix Information

During a config sync, steps were taken to ensure that mcpd objects are not deleted until after they have been fully processed.
