BIG-IP scripts and chmand will not downgrade the AOM-software package (aomctld daemon) on the AOM if a later version of the aomctld daemon is currently running on the AOM, e.g., rebooting to an older version of BIG-IP on the host will not result in the aomctld daemon on the AOM to be downgraded.
The Host will revert to using a older version of the RPC interface calls used to communicate with the aomctld daemon running on the AOM.
AOM still running a later version of the aomctld daemon, compared to the AOM-software package in the BIG-IP image currently installed on the Host.
Restarting the AOM (via console or ssh) will ensure that the Host side AOM software package will be installed by chmand and used.
