Escape characters are lost between what the user enters for the monitor send string and what the user sees in the config file.
The specified string is not written to config file.
The issue is apparent after saving/updating a monitor save/receive string which uses \ escape characters, the fields repopulate with the 'evaluated' versions of the characters.

Monitor string fields now correctly escape escaped characters.
