In pre-v11.6.x configuration data, if you use words "all-partition" as partition name, the system creates a partition named "all partition," which causes issues.

System creates a partition named "all partition," which is used in the software for specific purposes, and might result in unexpected issues.

In pre-v11.6.x to v11.6.x upgrade configuration data, if you use words "all-partition" as partition name.

Before upgrading, replace "all-partition" with something else. These are the reserved names for partitions: all, partition, none, and all-partition.

Fix Information

Now, the following partition names: all, partition, none, and are reserved, and are rejected when creating partitions.

Behavior Change

In v11.6.0 "all-partition" is reserved for the BIG-IP system to use as special partition name referring to all the partitions in the system.
