Symptoms

When doing tcpdump from the GUI, traffic is not captured for VLANs with names having 16 or more characters.

Impact

The GUI truncates the VLAN Name when performing a tcpdump, so the operation cannot capture traffic for affected VLANs.

Conditions

This occurs when performing a tcpdump from the GUI on VLANs with names of 16 or more characters.

Workaround

Use VLANs named with fewer than 16 characters, or do tcpdump from the command line.

Fix Information

When performing tcpdump operations from the GUI, traffic can now be captured for VLANs with names having 16 or more characters.
