Symptoms

When a BIG-IP system is configured to use Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) mode, the system behaves according to the 802.1D - 2004 standard rather than the 802.1D - 1998 standard in any instance where the standards differ.

Impact

Adherence to the later 802.1D - 2004 standard. This is expected behavior.
