The real authentication work and connection to back end server is made by aced server; apd processes a request and sends it to aced internally. When apd can not connect to aced, it may crash.
The impact of this issue is that service is unavailable until apd is restarted (automatically) after crash.
Conditions leading to this issue: apd cannot connect aced while processing auth request.
This issue has no workaround at this time.
APD no longer crashes when it loses connection to aced.
