Symptoms

The real authentication work and connection to back end server is made by aced server; apd processes a request and sends it to aced internally. When apd can not connect to aced, it may crash.

Impact

The impact of this issue is that service is unavailable until apd is restarted (automatically) after crash.

Conditions

Conditions leading to this issue: apd cannot connect aced while processing auth request.

Workaround

This issue has no workaround at this time.

Fix Information

APD no longer crashes when it loses connection to aced.
