Symptoms

SAML metadata import leads to SSL configuration failure with 'Memory exhausted' message.

Impact

SSL profiles cannot be created or modified. Any control-plane operation concerning SSL configuration is affected. Builds with this issue shows message similar to following - 'Error reading cert PEM file ...: Memory exhausted.' when any action concerning SSL configuration is performed after SAML metadata import. This issue persists till MCPd is restarted. Restarting MCPd works around the issue until next SAML metadata import.

Conditions

The issue persists after SAML metadata import.

Workaround

Restart MCPd, which means restarting all other services.

Fix Information

SAML metadata import no longer affects SSL configuration operations, so that SSL profiles can be created successfully.
