Symptoms

When grandchild (child of a child) monitor is viewed in the GUI, the system displays the 'An error has occurred while trying to process your request.'

Impact

Limits the ability to manage monitors using the GUI.

Conditions

This occurs when viewing a grandchild (child of a child) HTTP monitor (either via tmsh or the GUI), save the config, then load the config via tmsh. Monitor objects are loaded alphabetically, by name. In order to encounter this bug, the grandchild must be loaded before the child. For example, for monitors named http, z_child, a_grandchild, a_grandchild loads before z_child, triggering the error.

Workaround

Name monitors such that the child monitor is loaded before the grandchild.
