Symptoms

An extensive configuration change with ASM (reconfiguration) while the system is passing traffic might cause a bd crash in a very rare scenario.

Impact

The bd process crashes, causing a traffic outage until it is restarted.

Conditions

When there is traffic load, and the ASM administrator reconfigures an ASM policy.

Workaround

Refrain from extensive configuration changes when the system is under load.
