Last Modified: Sep 13, 2023

Affected Product(s):
BIG-IP AAM, AFM, AOM, ASM, AVR, FPS, GTM, LTM, PEM, PSM, SWG, WAM, WOM(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
11.6.2 HF1

Fixed In:

Opened: Jul 28, 2014

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

A warning / error like the following is returned when APM is not provisioned while attempting to delete an existing system folder. 010717ac:4: Configuration Warning: Cannot remove directory with symlink to sandbox for partition (...). Error: No such file or directory. If you have access to bash shell, try to run command: rmdir /var/sam/www/webtop/sandbox/files_d/.../

Impact

The returned warning / error being displayed is the only impact. The message is effectively letting you know that the system could not delete a file/directory that currently does not exist, and to let the admin know that they could use the rmdir command on the specific path.

Conditions

With any module other than APM provisioned the Admin creates attempts to delete an existing system folder.

Workaround

No workaround

Fix Information
