Ping from outside to VE does not work, BIG-IP is unreachable.

Impact

BIG-IP VE cannot pass traffic via its dataplane

Conditions

- BIG-IP VE for KVM - Hypervisors are: - CentOS 6.5 - Ubuntu 13.10 & 14.04 LTS - virtual NICs are created via macvtap interfaces

Workaround

- Create virtual NICs via bridged rather than macvtap interfaces
