Symptoms

The aced process may restart in an infinite loop if a parent process cannot start. This can result in a user not being able to log in using their valid SecurID credentials. You may notice repeated "re-starting aced" messages in the log file.

Impact

RSA SecurID authentication fails

Conditions

If a parent process dies, the child process may hold server port 60000. If this occurs, then new parent process cannot start.

Workaround

None

Fix Information

Now, the aced process behaves as expected. A child process never listens at server port.
