Symptoms

TMM crash and coredump while logging to remote logging server.

Impact

Traffic disrupted while tmm restarts.

Conditions

This can happen when logging for AFM or other modules is turned on and one of the log destinations is a remote logging server with log messages sent over TCP transport protocol. The crash specifically occurs when transport is TCP, and an error occurs attempting to connect to the remote logging server.

Workaround

Use UDP transport for the remote logging destination server.

Fix Information

Fixed the crash that occurred in the logging module when using TCP as the transport to a log destination server.
