Symptoms

SSL Certificate Subject Alternative Name presents error when the Name or Password begins with a exclamation point ( ! ).

Impact

The system presents an error: Error: Failure to create certificate request passphrase with error: Syntax Error: command history is only available in shell mode

Conditions

This occurs in the GUI when the Name or Password begins with a exclamation point ( ! ).

Workaround

Do not use exclamation point ( ! ) in Name or Password specifying SSL Certificate Subject Alternative Name.

Fix Information

You can now use leading exclamation point ( ! ) for Name and Password without error when specifying SSL Certificate Subject Alternative Name.
