Symptoms

When HSB cannot allocate enough DMA descriptors for transmitting packets, TMM ASSERTs and crashes.

Impact

Traffic disrupted while tmm restarts.

Conditions

Very rare condition that happens only when TSO is enabled.

Workaround

Disable TSO.

Fix Information

The system now orderly drops the current packet transmission if the system cannot allocate enough DMA descriptors for the transmission.
