Symptoms

DES-CBC-SHA only supported by OpenSSL SSLv3, but is currently listed in the SSLv2.

Impact

When there is no shared-ciphers between SSL peers and SSL handshake fails, there is no log message, which make diagnosing issues difficult.

Conditions

Attempting to use DES-CBC-SHA with SSLv2.

Workaround

None.

Fix Information

DES-CBC-SHA has been moved from COMPAT SSLv2 to SSLv3. When there is no shared-ciphers between SSL peers, SSL handshake will fail, there is now a log debug message to help when diagnosing issues.
