Symptoms

Viprion systems may show apparent tmm memory leak in session, session cache and session master key caches. This is indicated by the tmctl memory_usage_stat command.

Impact

Memory leaks in tmm can lead to system instability, performance issues and network outages.

Conditions

Chassis based system (VIPRION) using inter-chassis mirroring and use of table action -subtable.

Workaround

Avoid subtable use.
