Bug ID 519119: Log internal VDI exceptions at "Error" log level instead of "Critical"

Last Modified: Jul 12, 2023

Affected Product(s):
BIG-IP APM(all modules)

Fixed In:
12.1.0

Opened: Apr 20, 2015

Severity: 5-Cosmetic

Symptoms

Sometimes, especially in some corner case scenarios, an internal exception may be thrown by the VDI process responsible for handling VDI-related traffic (Citrix, VMware View, RDG). Previously such error messages have been logged at "Critical" log level which may be misleading. From now on, they are logged as "Errors" instead.

Impact

Administrator may be confused with this issues being reported as critical.

Conditions

Rare corner cases (e.g., client sends data to the channel already terminated by server)

Workaround

None.

Fix Information

Internal exceptions are now logged at the "Error" level instead of "Critical".
