Symptoms

Hostagentd may log the following errors on startup every ten seconds for up to a couple of minutes for each deployed guest on each slot: err hostagentd[7040]: 01820004:3: Failed to create directory (/var/run/vcmpd/guest1/json): (2, No such file or directory). err hostagentd[7040]: 01820004:3: Failed to ensure JSON dir (/var/run/vcmpd/guest1/json) for guest (guest1) is writeable. Not fetching health status.

Impact

None. This is a cosmetic issue.

Conditions

The system is provisioned for vCMP and has guests in the deployed state when the system is starting up.

Workaround

None.

Fix Information

The cosmetic issue in which hostagentd logged 'Failed to create directory' on startup has been fixed. The fix eliminates any directory creation race conditions where one daemon attempts to create a directory whose parent directory is created by one of the other daemons.
