Symptoms

VPN disconnects after the DHCP lease expires.

Impact

VPN may disconnect and user must connect to VPN again. ipconfig /renew will not work.

Conditions

BIG-IP Edge Client is running on Windows 8. "Allow access to local DHCP servers" is checked in Network Access settings.

Workaround

DCHP Lease timeout is automatic and works properly. Also, end users can first run ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew to manually renew a lease.

Fix Information

DHCP lease can now be renewed correctly.
