Opened: Jun 22, 2015
Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

The TMM may crash after executing an iRule if the HTTP filter has the pipeline passthough option set.

Impact

Traffic disrupted while tmm restarts.

Conditions

HTTP has pipeline passthrough set. An iRule parks inside the HTTP filter. Ingress occurs that causes HTTP to switch into passthrough mode. When processing resumes, the debug TMM is in an inconsistent state, and may crash. (The normal TMM may possibly not crash in this situation.)

Workaround

None

Fix Information

HTTP switches to passthrough mode correctly due to the pipeline passthrough option when executing an iRule.
