Symptoms

When the BIG-IP system performs a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) query on the ifXtable object-specified in the interfaces management information base (ifMIB), the snmpd process stops responding.

Impact

snmpd crashes.

Conditions

This issue occurs when the following condition is met: The BIG-IP system performs an SNMP query on the ifXTable of the ifMIB.

Workaround

When problem occurs, snmpd automatically restarts.

Fix Information

A problem of accessing null pointer in snmpd has been fixed.
