Attempt to establish a VPN connection from a Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, or Vista desktop fails if F5 Networks components have been removed previously and the desktop was not rebooted. End users cannot establish a VPN connection from Windows-based clients.
Windows desktop. Existing F5 components uninstalled. Reboot was not performed after uninstall.
Reboot the affected Windows desktop.
After F5 Networks components have been uninstalled, the system does not require reboot, and uses the latest installed software-device for VPN, as expected.
