GTM does not respond to queries with CNAME type even though there is a matching wideip with CNAME pool associated. For example "dig www.example.com CNAME" will return no servers even if there is a CNAME for it.
Client could not get appropriate response to CNAME queries.
Client sends CNAME type query to GTM.
Don't specify query type when doing queries.
