Symptoms

Validation does not prevent use of 'virtual' command in ACCESS_SESSION_CLOSED iRule events. when there is no associated virtual.

Impact

TMM crash and restart. Traffic disrupted while tmm restarts.

Conditions

Using the 'virtual' command during ACCESS_SESSION_CLOSED event when there is no associated virtual.

Workaround

Avoid using 'virtual' command in ACCESS_SESSION_CLOSED event.

Fix Information

Validation now handles using the 'virtual' command in ACCESS_SESSION_CLOSED iRule events when validation fails because there is no associated virtual. The system posts an error that the use of 'virtual' in this context is not supported.
