Fixed In:
13.0.0

Opened: Feb 09, 2016

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

Adding NICs to a single-NIC Virtual Edition (VE) configuration might result in being unable to load the configuration.

Impact

Cannot load configuration.

Conditions

-- Single-NIC configuration. -- Adding NICs.

Workaround

-- Manually remove all references to 1.0 interfaces from bigip_base.conf. -- Load the configuration.

Fix Information

You can now transition a configuration from single-NIC to multi-NIC or multi-NIC to single-NIC deployments. Interfaces that no longer exist on the VE go into a pending state instead of failing the config load. These pending interfaces can now be used to transition from single-NIC to multi-NIC configurations.
