Symptoms

Uploading files to SharePoint using drag and drop and/or file uploader fails with an error

Impact

Function may fail but sometimes the uploads actually succeed as seen by refreshing sharepoint.

Conditions

Utilize SharePoint 2010_2013 iAPP to create objects and point them at a pool of sharpeoint servers. Enable APM within the iAPP.

Workaround

Go to Profiles->Services->HTTP Compression. Select the compression profile assigned to the sharepoint virtual server. Scroll near the bottom and check keep accept encoding. In some cases this may still not resolve the issue with the file being uploaded but displaying an incorrect error, in that case navigate to the sharepoint virtual server and set the HTTP compression profile to none.
