Symptoms

While using iControl REST and querying platform objects you see these error messages in /var/log/restjavad.out Failed to store attribute value: com.f5.mcp.data.DataObjectException: Object "platform" has no attribute "alias_if_output"

Conditions

This occurs in all BIG-IP releases starting at 11.5

Workaround

These error messages are harmless and can be ignored, they indicate that platform object received from MCP has properties that iControl REST does not support.
