Opened: Jun 24, 2016

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

Network access uses gzip compression provided by ZLIB. In Intel Cave creek platform, the compression is not offloaded to the Hardware and hence runs in tmm. Trying to choose a different provider via tmsh command will result in failure as : 1070281:3: Invalid "compress preferred method" value for profile /Common/newconn. Value must be zlib

Impact

Under heavy load, BIG-IP might experience High CPU usage.

Conditions

- APM is provisioned - Network access functionality is configured.
