Symptoms

Instance license does not work.

Impact

Instance license does not work and must be relicensed.

Conditions

This can happen for the following reasons: 1. Instance lost the license due to manual deletion of the license. 2. Instance license becomes inoperative after moving config without the no-license flag.

Workaround

The workaround depends on how the license was lost. If the license was manually deleted, run the following command to get a new license: /usr/libexec/autoLicense -l If the license became inoperative because the config was moved without the no-license flag, do the following to get a new license: 1. Delete /config/bigip.license. 2. Run this command: /usr/libexec/autoLicense -l.
