Prior to this update, the data files provided by the tzdata package reflected the Egyptian government's plan to transition to daylight saving time (DST) on July 7, but the Egyptian government canceled the planned transition. This update provides tzdata data files that reflect the change of plans, and will thus provide correct time zone information. This update also includes a time zone transition for Asia/Novosibirsk from +06 to +07 on 2016-07-24 at 02:00.
