Symptoms

HTML pages are not processed by rewrite-uri-translation or HTML profiles when character case of type in Content-Type and configured Content-Type selection list does not match (default configuration contains only 'text/html' and 'text/xhtml' types).

Impact

Some HTML responses are not processed by HTML and rewrite uri-translation profiles.

Conditions

Rewrite profile in use, or HTML Content profile in use, and a response header doesn't match the provided headers (for example text/plain), or the response header case doesn't match (for example Text/Html when it should be text/html)

Workaround

There are two ways to work around the issue for HTML types: 1. Add affected response content-types into HTML profile's Content Settings :: Content-Type Selection list. 2. Set 'Enable Content Detection' flag on the same configuration page. This will enable dynamic content type detection based on a first chunk of response (i.e., if first packet of data for any response looks like HTML, the response will be processed as HTML). In the case when rewrite-uri-translation is configured without HTML profile, create one, apply suggested changes and attach it to the virtual server along with rewrite-uri-translation profile.
