Symptoms

Server Message Block (SMB) monitor marks node down after upgrading.

Impact

Monitor marked down, impairing services.

Conditions

Samba server only accepts plaintext or lanman auth. SMB monitor begins to fail after upgrading.

Workaround

Modify the /etc/samba/smb.conf and in the [global] section, add the following lines: client ntlmv2 auth = No client lanman auth = Yes client plaintext auth = Yes
