Opened: Apr 20, 2017

Severity: 3-Major

Symptoms

Attempting to download the Forcepoint database for URL Filtering with a valid DNS server configuration may unexpectedly fail with the following error message: "Database download server (download.websense.com) could not be reached. Please verify the correctness of the DNS lookup server configured on this BIG-IP system."

Impact

The BIG-IP is unable to download the category database and consequently cannot use SWG functionality.

Conditions

DNS server is configured properly, but NTP server is not set up

Workaround

1. Configure a valid NTP server for the BIG-IP so that the BIG-IP can download the database. 2. Issue "tmsh restart sys service urldbmgrd"
