Opened: Jul 11, 2017
Severity: 4-Minor

Symptoms

An idle-timeout occurs while running a sub-process in interactive mode, resulting in a log message. tmsh logs a benign but ominous-looking critical error to the console and to /var/log/ltm if a tmsh command reaches idle timeout and a spawned sub-process is still running. The errors in /var/log/ltm begin with the following text: 'boost assertion failed'

Impact

Although the wording indicates a failure, the message is benign and you can safely ignore it.

Conditions

-- tmsh command reaches idle timeout. -- Spawned sub-process is still running.
