No critical alert is generated when the fan tray is absent and the appliance is powered on. In the conditions listed, the critical fan tray absent event is not re-generated by the AOM so there is no "alert" available to the LCD for inspection.
The system fails to create the critical alert event and the alert cannot be viewed on the LCD.
This issue might be seen all of the following conditions are met: 1. Fan tray is removed or has failed 1. BIG-IP shuts down due to a thermal protection event

The AOM firmware now creates the critical alert and displays it on the LCD.
