BIG-IP Virtual Edition (VE) QuickAssist Offload supports assignment of only Intel QuickAssist Technology (QAT) Virtual Functions (VFs) to BIG-IP VE virtual machines (VMs). Assignment of QAT Physical Functions (PFs) is unsupported. Note: Intel has documented at least one known problem, QATE-4051, related to assignment of QAT PFs in its QAT 1.7 1.0.3-42 Release Notes.
Cannot assign QAT PFs to BIG-IP VE VMs.
Sharing a QAT endpoint among several VMs requires use of SR-IOV with QAT VFs.
There is no workaround other than to assign QAT VFs to BIG-IP VE VMs.
