Bug ID 738883: VCMP slot/sizing manipulations may leave some interfaces with duplicate if-index values

Last Modified: May 29, 2024

Affected Product(s):
BIG-IP vCMP(all modules)

Known Affected Versions:
11.6.2, 11.6.3,,,,, 11.6.4, 11.6.5,,,

Opened: Aug 01, 2018

Severity: 4-Minor

In releases before 12.1.2 it is possible to get duplicate interface indices in the SNMP user interface.

This can be confusing when accessing SNMP values.

This requires allocating guests, releasing them, allocating new guests that use some of the released resources, then, re-allocating the initial guests.

The workaround is to clear the configuration and remove the MCPD binary database.
