A BIG-IP system may be incorrectly configured with multiple IP addresses for management if one is obtained via DHCP, then DHCP is disabled, an IP is configured statically, the config is written, then DHCP is re-enabled without saving the configuration, and then the system is rebooted.
The BIG-IP system has both a static management IP configured as well as one obtained via DHCP.
1. The BIG-IP system obtains an address via DHCP. 2. Disable DHCP. 3. Configure a static mgmt address via 'config' utility or by using tmsh and saving the configuration. 4. Re-enable DHCP. 5. Reboot the system.
Save the configuration after re-enabling DHCP and before rebooting the system.
